1. Add a snare or clap!
2. The lead sounds good but it seemed like it didnt fit well with some of the sounds. It might have just been the notes or the note structure that you used but it could use some work.
3. Balence out the sound levels. comparatively the screeching lead is waaayy too overpowering. I can barely hear the piano.

Everratic responds:

There already is a clap. Thankyou.

the Snare is too compressed sounding and not anywhere near loud enough. If you want to have a really loud kick then you need a loud snare. in dubstep thats important. other than that i like what you did

Anakoreten responds:

With the music you're making I'm not sure you're in the best seat to hand out production advice. I'm really not saying this to be a douche - but I had a look at what you called dubstep and I'm not sure you understand the concept at all.
So please, realize that you sound like an ass handing out advice to others backed up with what you have to show on your own page.

And within the polishing part of a track is the final mixing and mastering, which is a point I obviously never got around to, and that is in the desc (unless you missed the 'unfinished' bit in the name)

awesome! this is chill and quiet enough to use as background in youtube videos, but still has a nice sounding bass and a good melody and is good for regular listening

there was no real melody it seemed like.. and most of the chords used werent made with notes that make sense together.. the song was put together nicely, but I didnt see much of a melody, or any music theory

xxxZigZagxxx responds:

I hear what you mean by "no real melody", but it's an acquired taste you know. Not all beats have straight-forward melodies, especially more experimental ones like this. And trust me, there is some music theory going on here, it's just not that of normal songs. Music theory is just a guideline, you know, and at the end of the day you're going for something that's just good-sounding and unique. But I know what you mean.

Thanks, DJUG.

im sorry but this just didnt sound good at all. The intro wasnt interesting, the beat wasnt very good, it sounded as if you only used two different instruments to make the entire song, and the sounds chosen just didnt sound good

CidiousClef responds:

I'll take it. There really were just two synths, both made in a rush in 3xOsc, and a bunch of 808 samples, so I see where that's coming from. Its really cheesy, in fact.

But I like to unwind a little by making this sort of stuff, before making other, less ridiculous things. Just something I do.

That said, "just didn't sound good" doesn't help me improve. If you could elaborate on why, that would be nice.

cool song, its pretty simple but it works well

maybe you should not sing...

TheBannedBand responds:

youre right. I suck. sorry..
